Prompt 01 · Thinking
New products, features, side projectsPressure-test an idea
Find the weak assumptions in an idea before you spend too much time building it.
Act as a constructive skeptic. I’m considering this idea:
[DESCRIBE THE IDEA]
Start by restating the idea in one clear sentence so I can confirm you understood it. Then assess it through three lenses: desirability, feasibility, and viability.
Give me:
1. The five riskiest assumptions, ordered by how damaging they would be if false.
2. The strongest case for the idea.
3. The strongest case against it.
4. Three cheap, fast tests I could run before building the full version.
5. The evidence that would make me stop, change direction, or continue.
6. Your honest recommendation and the reasoning behind it.
Separate facts from assumptions. Be specific rather than encouraging. Ask up to three clarifying questions only if missing context would materially change the assessment.
